Our Mission

St Joseph’s School provides an environment based on the Catholic Faith and Gospel Values, enabling the children to develop their full potential spiritually, academically, emotionally, socially, physically and culturally.

Our Vision

Creating confident learners who, like Jesus, make a positive difference

St Joseph’s is a state integrated school – a school with Special Catholic Character.

Our school was founded by the Dominican Sisters in 1883. The “charism” of our school is to follow The Dominican Way which is based on Veritas -truth, with strong emphasis on learning, discovery, thinking, excellence, prayer, community and service/mission. That means that at

St Joseph's School we will:

  1. - Always be honest
  2. - Always be learning
  3. - Always do our best
  4. - Listen to God's call
  5. - Do our bit.

Attitudes and Values

Walk in truth and with respect

Values are deeply held beliefs about what is important or desirable and generally influence attitudes and behaviour. They are expressed in the ways in which people think and act.

Attitudes to learning strongly influence the outcome for our students. Teachers' expectations, the support of parents and the community, and students' attitude and motivation are all significant factors.
