All events are run as timed finals. This year Central Events will be represented by Zone. This means the Wakatipu Zone will be made up of all the schools in the Wakatipu Basin and places at Central Otago events will be determined by times recorded and collated across schools.

This is an initiative being trialled and comes from Bill Godsall and a committee of school representatives to future-proof sporting events in Central Otago.
