Support Agencies

Sometimes you or someone you know might need extra support and are not sure who to contact.  The following is a list of agencies who might be able to help:
  • Public Health Nurse - The Otago public health nursing service provides free, confidential well child/tamariki and youth/rangatahi health assessments for youth aged between 0-18 years who are eligible and/or attending early childhood centres and schools.  Our Public Health Nurse is Maria Frewen - Phone 03 450 9156 or 027 464 8990 (Monday to Thursday)
  • Your Family Doctor 
  • Queenstown Lakes Family Centre The core business of the Queenstown Lakes Family Centre is to provide specialised counselling and intervention services, as well as offering a variety of complementary support services - Phone 03-441 4331
  • Jigsaw Central Lakes Jigsaw provides services to individuals and the community to support safe and healthy relationships - Phone 0508 440 255 
  • Various helplines - Mental Health and Addictions 
  • Police Phone 111 for emergencies and 105 for non-emergencies
  • Able, Southern Family Support  - provide a service for people affected by someone else's mental health, family member, colleague friend etc. and have a worker specifically for children affected by their parents mental health.
